Overview

This full-day workshop provides you with the technical overview and analysis of the flagship IP-PBXs from ten leading suppliers based on their responses to a request for proposal (RFP) for a large distributed IP telephony system with a high degree of redundant and local survivability requirements. Expected responses are likely to include a few soon-to-be announced new product models and/or major system upgrades.

The workshop will focus on several important architecture and performance attributes, including:

  • IP telephony support requirements
  • Multisite and remote communications options
  • Redundant design elements
  • IP telephone (desktop, mobile) attributes and functions
  • Core generic feature software
  • Centralized systems management, administration and maintenance capabilities

Each vendor response will also include summary pricing data.  Proposals will be evaluated based on satisfying technical performance requirements and associated pricing elements.

This RFP workshop will include a review and technical analysis of bidder responses by Allan Sulkin, a recognized PBX systems expert. Following Mr. Sulkin’s presentation, each of the “bidders” will be given the opportunity to respond to his comments and/or further clarify their proposal.

Mr. Sulkin is president of TEQConsult Group, and the course developer and instructor of the seminar, Understanding PBX Systems and Technologies. He assembles the annual TEQConsult Group PBX Feature/Function Matrices, and he is the author of PBX Systems for IP Telephony.
