In addition if your car is deemed illegally parked, traffic fines are very high and towing is something that you want to avoid. Please take public transportation as detailed herein. Traveling to the Global Knowledge New York training center from out of state: There are 3 Airports serving New York City. Unless your travel agent has secured an irresistible ticket price JFK International airport should be a last choice as it is farthest from NYC. Both Newark and La Guardia airports are good choices. Newark International airport has the added advantage of being closer to the city and can presently be reached almost completely by subway! From Newark Airport: Once you deplane exit your terminal and look for the Olympic Trailways or Grey Line buses with Port Authority destination. These buses are quick and inexpensive (approximately $19.- round trip ,$11.-one way) . Tickets can be purchased directly on the bus. Upon arrival at Port Authority (42nd and 9th avenue you can hail a cab to your hotel. Naturally you can take a cab from Newark Airport. Price will average in the $50. price range. Remember this is across state lines. Subway from Newark Airport Once you deplane look for the NJ Transit bus to Newark Penn Station ($4). Take this to downtown Newark Penn station. Proceed up level to the NJ Path train going to 33rd street (Path costs $1.50 per ride). Once at 33rd street take a cab to your hotel . You could also take a cab from Newark Airport to Newark Penn station. From La Guardia Airport : You can take a cab or bus. The issue to remember is if you are in a cab with a meter running and you are in heavy vehicular traffic, then your cab fare could be expensive. If you are traveling off hours $35. for a cab ride is to be expected. Grey Line buses serve La Guardia and they are dependable and inexpensive and will take you to Port Authority as well as Grand Central Station area. You can take a cab from Grand Central to your hotel. Via Amtrack: If you are coming in via Amtrack to NYC Penn Station you can take a cab to your hotel or training center or you can take the 1 or 9 or N or R subway line 1 station stop to 42nd street and Broadway (Times Square) and walk 1 block up to 6th avenue and 2 blocks over to 44th street. From Port Authority: On 42nd street and 9th avenue walk 2 avenue blocks east to Ave of the Americas (6th Ave) and then 2 blocks north (left) to 44th street. 1155 Ave of the Americas is a large black marble building fronting Avenue of the Americas, the Belasco theatre is just to the rear of 1155. From Grand Central Station: Subway: Take #7 subway train to Times Square City Bus: Take M 42 Bus East on 42nd street to Grand Central Station.
